Five Things Friday

1. I have been so drawn to neutral palettes with a lot of texture lately... Well, actually I’ve always been drawn to this look. There’s something about this look that gives a sense of calm, comfort, and beauty, probably because it reminds me so much of the PNW. Here are some things inspiring me.

2. I am all about this sherpa jacket right now, and I found one that’s almost identical, and half the price!

3. This weekend, Brad and I are headed to Portland for a few nights. I’m SO excited, and am really looking forward to doing a whole lot of walking, sleeping, and eating. Here’s what’s in my bag... (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16).

4. I am really into the enneagram, and so is Aymee! This weekend, I’m bringing “The Road Back to You”, and “The Path Between Us.” I can’t wait to read these books with Brad over the weekend. What number are you on the enneagram? I’m a 2 wing 3, Aymee is an 8 wing 7, and both of our husbands are 3’s!

5. We’ve been keeping it a secret, but our Virtual Design Services are now available on our website! Its been available for a couple of months, but we’ve been keeping it pretty quiet until now. Five Things Friday

  1. This week I’ve been head down trying to finish up all the soft finish selections for our Broken Top Project. I’m happy to say I just finished (as of 5 seconds ago, that’s why I’m so late to the game on writing today’s post). Now the designs are off to Sarah to put onto a design board, and we present on Monday. I’m very excited for this one! It’s a very modern, minimal, mountain project. 3. Aymee and I are all about comfy shoes. I recently got these white sneakers, and Aymee got these ones. I can say I’ve worn mine almost everyday since arriving in the mail.

4. Have you guys ever checked out H&M Home? They have some really great things! Here are a few of my favorites (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

5. I have been listening to this album on repeat lately. SO GOOD.

1. This entry designed by Rachel Halvorson is one of the best I’ve seen in a while. I love the mix of natural elements, the front door design, and the interest on the entry table. So well done!

2. J Crew is having a huge sale this weekend, 40% off your purchase! Here are a few items I’ve got my eye on… (dress, earrings, blouse, skirt, sweater, wrap top, eyelet top, sweatshirt, jeans).

3. Madewell is also having a sale this weekend, and you know how we love that place (they have the most flattering clothes for mamas of all ages)! Here are some of our favorites (sneakers, top, pumps, eyelet top, sweater coat, mockneck blouse, tee, jeans, jeans, sweater, flats).

4. We installed our Foothill Drive Project on Wednesday, and I’m so happy with how it turned out! It is such a pretty mix of collected, modern, and rustic. Can’t wait to share all the good pictures with you soon, but for now, here are some iPhone pictures that will have to suffice.

5. If you watch our instagram stories, you know that we have an obsession with drinking coffee in a mug at all times (even in the car, which drives both of our husbands batty), and I’m especially obsessed with white ceramic mugs. Here are a few of the prettiest mugs I’ve seen in a while, I recently bought a set of 8 of #2 for our new house (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

Five Things Friday

  1. I’ve been slacking with Five Things Friday lately, but I’m back :). Did you see our post from Wednesday? I shared our new build inspiration and selections on our blog. You can see the post here.

  2. We have a kitchen install next week for our Foothill Drive Project, and I’m so excited about it! We’ve been working on this kitchen since April of 2017, and to have the vision come to life has been really rewarding these past few weeks. All those months of trusting, planning, and designing are worth it! Here’s a preview, there’s still a few things that need to get done, but it’s ALMOST complete!


3. I’ve been using the new Kristin Ess Hair Line from Target, and it's amazing stuff! I use the Dry Finish Working Texture Spray after I finish curling my hair for volume and texture, then I use Finishing Spray to keep it in place without making it look stiff. If I wash my hair at night, I’ll let it air out until it’s almost dry, then I’ll use the Sea Salt Air Dry Spray, braid my hair, leave it in over night for quick easy beach waves. I’m no hair expert, but I’ve found these products to work for me!

4. We recently picked up a bunch of goods at Target for upcoming installs (Aymee and I were those crazy people at Target with overflowing carts full of home goods). Here are some of the things we picked up (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

5. I think rust is my favorite color this fall. It pairs well with so many colors, and I’m seeing it everywhere (both in fashion and home design). Here are a few things I’ve got my eye on in rust (hair scarf, turtleneck, earrings, tee, sweater, sweater, pillow, flats, large planter).

Five Things Friday

1. We've finally decided on vertical board and batten for our exterior siding on our new house! I'm so excited! Here are some pictures of how it will look!  TBD on the color.

2. I've been all about wearing scarves these days in my hair.  One of the reasons is because I can go another day without washing it ;) Praise the Lord for dry shampoo, am I right? Here are a few scarves I'm loving (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6), and a few ways I love to wear them.


3. I found the perfect fall sweater... it's literally the sweater of my dreams (stripes, my favorite colors, and it's flowy).  I can't wait to wear it!  Here are a few more sweaters I love for fall (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

4. We're working on a vacation home in BEND that I'm over the moon excited about! We met with our client this week, and it was fun hearing all about her hopes and needs for the space.  Envision lots of natural elements, black and whites, and modern mountain design.  I've been pinning all week, here are a few inspiration pictures I've already saved for when I start designing the project.

5. Whenever I get asked how I'm "juggling" it all, I laugh.  Because, frankly, I'm not.  I have a really supportive husband, a babysitter, and I have to say "no" to a lot of things these days.  This picture below is my life in a nutshell. Loud, crazy, exhausting... but perfect to me.  We all need to be more "real" on the internet.  Aymee and I try our best to be ourselves in this small space of influence we have on the web, and want everyone to feel comfortable and invited.  We do the same in our design.  We want our designs to be inviting, comfortable, and authentic.  We never want our clients to feel intimidated or embarrassed of their homes, because our job is to go into peoples homes and transform them into the best versions they can be.
