Five Things Friday

1. Each new year, I come up with a word/theme to focus on. This year, my word is intentional. I want to be more intentional with my family, my calendar, my work hours, my overall health, my generosity, and all the rest… Do you have a word for the new year? I’d love to hear it.

2. Monday, we had an install for our 29th street project! Install days are by far the best days at work. We spend months and months preparing for this day(s), and when it arrives, it’s the absolute BEST. This install was for a returning client, and we made her cry for the second time (which is always our goal, to make our clients cry happy tears). We genuinely care so deeply for each of our clients and their homes, which makes the reveal so special. Here are a few pictures I took on my iPhone (professional photos coming soon)!

3. Have you popped into Target recently? Who am I kidding, of course you have. Well, they have some really great stuff right now! I just bought this bench , lamp, leather bins, sheets, and comforter for our new house.

4. It’s an extra 20% off sale items at Madewell! Here are a few of my favorite things on sale (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

5. Our Spring Drive Project is really coming together! Here is a progress shot of the mudroom. I love how it’s coming together. Can’t wait to see everything painted!

Five Things Friday

1. Can you believe that Christmas is on Tuesday? It’s hard to believe. Every year, the Christmas season feels shorter and shorter to me, anyone else? I’m trying to soak up all things Christmas until the New Year.

On another note, see this beautiful pottery?! Our friend Caitlin who just started working for us has an amazing pottery shop on Etsy. Both Aymee and I love pottery, and its been fun collaborating with Caitlin on original pieces to create for different clients. We care so much about our clients, so any personal touch we can add to a space is a fun thing for us to do.

2. Every Christmas season, Brad and I take the kids shopping for a family in need. Yesterday, we delivered this package of toys, books, and home goods for a refugee family (single mom and four young kids). This family has been through SO much, and to watch my kids create and deliver this gift was the highlight of the season for me.

3. We signed on our property, and are ready to break ground! To celebrate, we’re going out to dinner tonight (it also happens to be our 9 year wedding anniversary)! I’m wearing this velvet dress (currently on sale) that I’ve been excited to wear for the holidays!

4. I absolutely love cooking during the holidays! It’s one of my favorite things. Here are a few of my favorite serving pieces that work any time of the year (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).


5. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate Christmas, Aymee and I will be celebrating at Grace City Church in Corvallis on Sunday at 10 AM. We meet at the Whiteside Theatre. We’d love to see you there!

Five Things Friday

1. Last week, our team had a wreath making party to celebrate the season. It was so fun to be creative as a team. We listened to John Legends new Holiday album, ate donuts, drank coffee, and took our time putting together wreaths.

You need a gold metal ring (we used 14”), greens (fresh or faux), ribbon, bells, floral wire, wire cutters, and a hot glue gun.

2. I’ve discovered my new favorite pair of mom jeans (the ones I’m wearing from the party). You guys, total game changers. I also have this pair (25% off), and love them equally as much!

3. This house by Amber Lewis is giving me SO much inspiration. I love how the mix of natural and textured elements, giving the space such a warm feel. The built-in’s in the playroom might just be my favorite.

4. Christmas is right around the corner, I just ordered this wrapping paper (1, 2, 3), ribbon (1, 2), and these pretty ceramic gift tags. I try to stay as far away from the stores as possible this time of year.

Five Things Friday

  1. I hope that everyone had a really great Thanksgiving with their families. I sure did! We spent the day in Portland at my sister’s house, eating lots of delicious food, playing games, and watching “Elf” while opening Christmas pajamas. It was a pretty perfect day (minus the Portland traffic) ;) I thought I’d share some of my favorite stores to shop on Black Friday and the things I’ve got my eye on for the whole family!

  2. JCREW. 50% off your entire purchase! I always buy Brad a few things (1, 2, 3, 4, 5), Karis some things (1, 2, 3, 4), and the girlfriends in my life some things (1, 2, 3). Yes, I’ve found a few things for myself as well (1, 2, 3, 4).

  3. NORDSTROM. They have LOTS on sale today! Here are a few things I’m eyeing (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

  4. MADEWELL. You all know how Aymee and I feel about Madewell. This is a great place to shop for your mom, sister, daughter, best friend, or yourself! A few picks that would work for anyone! (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12).

  5. ANTHROPOLOGIE. Everything is 30% off! They have the best kids stuff! Here are some of my favorite gifts for kids (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). Of course, they have some great stuff for the ladies in your life as well (or yourself ;) ) - some favorites (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

Five Things Friday

1. I have been so drawn to neutral palettes with a lot of texture lately... Well, actually I’ve always been drawn to this look. There’s something about this look that gives a sense of calm, comfort, and beauty, probably because it reminds me so much of the PNW. Here are some things inspiring me.

2. I am all about this sherpa jacket right now, and I found one that’s almost identical, and half the price!

3. This weekend, Brad and I are headed to Portland for a few nights. I’m SO excited, and am really looking forward to doing a whole lot of walking, sleeping, and eating. Here’s what’s in my bag... (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16).

4. I am really into the enneagram, and so is Aymee! This weekend, I’m bringing “The Road Back to You”, and “The Path Between Us.” I can’t wait to read these books with Brad over the weekend. What number are you on the enneagram? I’m a 2 wing 3, Aymee is an 8 wing 7, and both of our husbands are 3’s!
