Kidd Living Room Reveal (plus, sources!)

The living room is a space that I wanted to feel especially warm and inviting. Having a fireplace, tall ceilings, and large windows were a few of the elements I wanted to make sure and incorporate in this space. I didn’t want the design to be overly complicated, yet not too simple, but just the right amount of interest and detail. I went back and forth on putting the tv over the fireplace, and landed on getting a framed tv to make both myself and my husband happy :) It’s all about compromise, is it not? The Frame tv is the most genius invention yet, and we put it in majority of our clients homes now.

When thinking about the furniture, I wanted it to be comfortable. We have young kids, we entertain a lot, and we like the live in our home (believe it our not, it doesn’t always look like a magazine). Ha. I wanted it to be low maintenance, and easy to put back together after a day of kids living and playing in this space. Our coffee table is full of books, our upholstered furniture is all highly durable, and baskets/closed storage is hidden throughout (even a hidden drawer in our side table that my 20 month old uses to store miniature animals).

The palette is earthy and curated throughout, full of texture and patterns that speak for themselves. Everything has a purpose/and or tells a story. I only showcase things I absolutely love, which leaves a minimal, yet warm aesthetic.
