Brokentop VRBO - Kitchen & Dining

We’ve been anxiously awaiting the reveal of our latest project, the Brokentop VRBO! This was our most modern project to date. It’s always fun when a client comes back for another project, it makes the next one even better, because there’s already that high level of trust. Our clients really let us “do our thing”, which always leads to the best result in the end. In the end, our clients were so happy, and are excited for you to stay here too! Here’s a link to the Brokentop VRBO if you’re interested in getting away to Central Oregon in the near future!

Today, we’re just sharing the kitchen and dining space. Our client wanted to space to feel more open, and to seat a lot of people. We did that by removing all the cabinets, and creating a new kitchen/built in dining nook. We had a custom dining table built for the space, that fits absolutely perfectly. There are a lot of thought out details in these spaces to not only make it beautiful, but practical and functional as well.

Now for the fun part… The pictures! Here are the AFTER photos:

Kidd New Build / Dining Room Design

When thinking through our dining room, I wanted it to be a space that could be both casual and formal. In our floor plan, it is off to the side of our open kitchen and living space, but still connected. I envision hosting holiday dinners in this space, but at the same time, I want it to feel casual enough for our family to eat dinner in here nightly. This is one of the spaces in our house that I plan on having a dramatic dark wall or built (haven’t decided yet). I can’t wait to see it come together!
