Our Favorite White Paint Colors

One of the questions we get most often is “what is your preferred white paint color”? And I totally get it! It’s hard to choose the best white for a space because there are so many different variables that go into it - the type of finish needed, what other colors are in the space, lighting, undertones, it’s never ending!

However, along the way we have picked up quite a few of our favorites and go-to colors for different situations and homes. Breaking all that down and more below.

Pure White by Sherwin Williams

We have used Pure White by Sherwin Williams in many of our projects including my own home! We keep coming back because of how versatile this shade is. It can be used in a variety of ways - walls, trim, cabinets and while the name suggests otherwise, this white is not as stark as it sounds. It has a soft warmth to it that looks great in natural lighting as well as ambient evening scenes.

Swiss Coffee by Benjamin Moore

Swiss Coffee by Benjamin Moore is a great choice for traditional style homes. With it’s creamy off-white nature it has a slight yellow undertone so we recommend pairing it with a cooler toned trim. It is hugely popular and rightly so as it creates a warmth that is hard to beat!

White by Benjamin Moore

While it may not have as creative of a name as the others, don’t let that sway you. This is THE perfect bright white. We used White by Benjamin Moore in our recent Avenues Minimal project and it fit the minimalist vibe perfectly.

Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore

Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore is a crisp clean white that is great for modern homes. This is a cooler white with a touch of blue undertones. We especially love this shade in a bathroom space as it pairs well with bathtubs and other fixtures.

Hope that this helps in your white paint selections! Check out our portfolio for more examples of each space. And if you haven’t visited our shop page yet, we are constantly refreshing that with our latest finds!
