Cali Cool Project

Welcome to our #calicoolproject! This chic NorCal remodel turned heads with it’s villa-esque openness and warm yet modern Californian style. Living in a beautiful part of the world means there’s no need to shut your doors (or views) to the outside. We love blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor with all of our dwellings. It’s a special occurrence when decks become expanded living rooms, and nature’s bounty is right outside.

This project is one of a kind! While many California homes incorporate elements of the coastal-cool style, our approach is always inspired by the land’s surroundings. We went with plaster walls, vaulted beams, clean lines, and unique textiles for an organic take on cali-cool. The open floor plan allowed this luxurious but casual, expansive, yet grounded feeling.

The Entry

We always say the entryway sets the tone for the entire home: this project was no exception. In fact, it has such a grand entrance, we needed two styled vignettes to frame the hall. In each of our projects, we purvey antiques locally from the state/city/homeland of the project. It was so fun to treasure hunt for these staple vintage pieces that truly bring this space to life.

With a beautiful old-age native wood console table and European antique bench, we knew these vignettes needed to be adorned with complimentary classics. From mixing metals to curated eclectic pottery, these accent pieces are timeless and framed beautifully through the dramatic arch that leads into the living spaces.

Kitchen & Dining

The kitchen meets dining space is raw, casual and built to last. All of the materials were chosen with a quality over quantity mindset. Decor and furnishings were intentionally layered in neutral tones and organic materials: stone, handmade tile and white oak wood.

The chandelier in the dining room steals the show. The soft yet warm linen pendant anchors the space and creates beautiful conversation. Imagine dining here with your loved ones under dimmed light with a beautiful meal! If you look close enough at the dining banquette, you can see our signature scallop motif carved on the bottom trim. It’s all in the details…

Bed & Bath

We all deserve to celebrate life’s little luxuries, especially in our home. Where better to create a sanctuary than the primary bed and bath? From the floor to ceiling drapery, plaster walls, minimal vignettes, and moody nooks, the primary bedroom is an elevated experience. This bathroom is full of modern elements that embrace luxury.
